Studio Ninfa is a space dedicated to handmade objects and carefully curated second-hand finds, where the value of craftsmanship and the beauty of imperfection are at the heart of everything.
The name Ninfa comes from the second name of my Sicilian grandmother, Antonina Ninfa D’Aquila, an embroiderer. Textile was my first language of making, and I spent seven years working as an embroiderer before discovering ceramics, after a single pottery class revealed a material I instantly connected with.
Bringing these materials together felt natural. Both are rooted in patience, precision, and an appreciation for time. Time to make, to observe, and to refine. Studio Ninfa was born from the desire to explore traditional crafts through an evolving dialogue between clay and fibre, creating a world where these materials coexist, united by a shared sensitivity and the same attention to time, gesture, and detail.
The idea of creating my own studio had been with me for years. It first took shape while I was studying fashion at Studio Berçot, where I began filling notebooks with ideas, images, and dreams for a creative space of my own.
Inspired by Mediterranean culture, especially my Italian heritage, Studio Ninfa reflects a way of living that is simple, thoughtful, and rooted in tradition. It is an invitation to choose quality over quantity, to embrace objects made with care, and to find beauty in the everyday.
